Islamic Education Institute of Texas (IEIT) Established 1992

Twenty five years ago, the Islamic Society of Greater Houston (ISGH) established the Islamic Educational Institute of Texas (IEIT) as a unique fulltime Islamic school system to serve the children of the Muslim community in the greater Houston area. Our mission is to ensure that every child achieves his/her maximum educational potential through an enriched academic curriculum and extra-curricular activities program. In addition, we are focused on preparing today’s students for tomorrow’s challenges through the establishment of high Islamic values and moral standards. Today, there are six fully accredited schools within the IEIT system. Initially two schools were opened in 1992 – the Dar ul Arqam North School and the Dar ul Arqam Southeast School. The following year, in 1993, the Dar ul Arqam Southwest School was opened. Everest Academy was opened in 2005 followed by ILM Academy in 2006. The sixth school within the IEIT system, Houston Peace Academy (HPA), opened in 2010.
